Pradip Kumar Das :Shri Pradip Kumar Das passed M.A, LL.B. from Calcutta University. In 1986, he joined in Calcutta High Court as a practicing advocate and is also appearing before other High Courts, Tribunals and Supreme Court and has acquired a thorough Knowledge in Writ matters, GST Matters, Revenue, Banking Laws, & Other matters.
CESTAT was set up in 1982. In 2006, Shri Das was selected as Member (Judicial) of CESTAT from West Bengal for the first time, by a Selection Committee headed by the then Hon’ble Justice S. H. Kapadia (as His Lordship was) of Supreme Court of India and worked at Delhi, Chennai and Ahmedabad Bench, and also participated in Larger Bench, Anti- Dumping Bench etc. The Hon’ble Justice Raghuram Goda, former judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court and former President of CESTAT was pleased to observe that his judgements are precise, clinically analysed and the facets of law and facts relevant to the issue on hand considered comprehensively and with due fidelity to the discipline of precedents.
After retirement in 2016, Shri Das started practice in High Courts, Supreme Court of India, mainly dealing with Writ matters, GST Matters, Revenue and Banking (IBC, SARFAESI, DRT) Laws and Arbitration matters amongst others.
